StrataGrid is manufactured using high molecular weight (>25000 g/mol) and high tenacity polyester yarn. The yarns are precision knitted into a dimensionally stable network of apertures providing tensile reinforcement capacity in both directions. A proprietary UV stabilized saturation bitumen coating enhances chemical and mechanical properties of StrataGrid, increasing its life and enabling its usage in harsh soil conditions.

The bitumen coating of StrataGrid is not ordinary bitumen to begin-with. It is in fact an extremely refined and solvent extracted crystalline form of bitumen manufactured only by technologically advanced companies in the developed world. The rough texturing of PMB coating provides a better frictional characteristic as compared to the smooth finishing of PVC coating. StrataGrid has undergone rigorous Pull-out tests conducted in accredited laboratories and the results are exceeding the FHWA/BS codal provisions. Strata manufactures series of both uniaxial and biaxial geogrids.
