Project Overview

The construction of the Riyadh metro project commenced and required the construction of retaining structures as an access towards the metro station. These walls help save land space in busy areas and also enable faster construction.

Solution

Modern Environmental Geotechnical Solutions (MEGS) in partnership with Strata Geosystems was able to provide the technical expertise and geosynthetics products required for the construction of the retaining wall. The combined years of experience helped reduce the cost of the project without compromising on any quality. The project involved the construction of a retaining wall as an access to the metro station. StrataGrid 60 (uniaxial flexible geogrid of 60kN strength) was used for the reinforcement of the vertical MSE wall.
